Session recap — 2026-06-10

Transcribed with whisper.cpp medium + pyannote diarisation. Speaker labels left anonymous (SPEAKER_00 = DM). Proper nouns are the model’s best guesses — names standardised to the previous recap where possible (Aetherium, Caelthas Windrunner, the moons Lunara / Celenia / Oboros).

Where we left off

A research session at Trilinar University, Ellswater. Recapping Session 75: Leaf Ear had finished the Pembe book on Caelthas Windrunner and the Severing Shade; Gwrtheryn had struck a patronage deal with the Aetherium researcher Magister Thalia Rimehart (a year — really ten years’ — of salary, 50 platinum up front) in exchange for a way to Archivist Quillnook’s closely-guarded index. Vašek never got his turn, so the night opened with him.

What happened

1. Vašek and the frowning archivist

2. Leaf Ear and the northern sea (geography)

3. Gwrtheryn breaks into the Index

The heist of the night, with Thalia Rimehart tagging along (her curiosity getting the better of her):

4. The skull, the lich, and Caelthas Windrunner

A real-time table revelation while digging through old notes: the elf skull Leaf Ear carries — which he once spoke to via spell — belonged to a Caelthas Windrunner, the same name as the elf in Pembe’s book. The skull’s answers, recovered from notes: died by evisceration; the monolith was a triadic obelisk built to seal the Feywild, severing its links; and Drazhûl “the Pale Flame” (a lich) “despised what we were.” The DM ruled it a coincidence — “it’s the equivalent of a John Smith”probably the same family, given Caelthas took his adoptive mother Aerindel’s surname and never knew what became of her own children.
